Hello again! Relatus here!

We are happy to announce that version 1.6 of Beatnik Smasher has been released into Itch.io !

Expect many quality of life changes as well as new map and enemy balances that were found and addressed during the MYDCF 2023 exhibition. We are grateful for all the people who came to playtest our demo and gave us valuable insight and feedback.

Other than that, we have also found a temporary fix for the crashing bug that has plagued our game since its game jam release. So you can now enjoy this newest version without fearing for an unforeseen demise. Do be noted that the "Endless" mode is from the legacy prototype build made during its creation in the game jam and has not seen any updates as of now.

As for the future of this game, further developments will be on hiatus as our team members are starting their university season. Even so, small bug fixes and patches may still be made and minor updates might be possible. So do please send us any bug report you face in your playthroughs.

Who knows, maybe more will come of this in the future. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
